Description
The Monstera Acuminata, also known as the “Narrow Leaf Swiss Cheese Plant,” is a striking tropical plant that has gained popularity for its unique and stunning foliage. This plant is distinguished by its large, glossy, heart-shaped leaves that feature distinct holes and splits, giving it a distinctive “Swiss cheese” appearance.
Here are the basic care instructions for a Monstera Acuminata:
- Light: Place your Monstera Acuminata in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate lower light conditions, but to promote optimal growth and leaf development, provide it with bright, filtered sunlight.
- Watering: Water when the top 5-10cm of soil is dry. Avoid overwatering, as it can lead to root rot.
- Support and Pruning: As the Monstera Acuminata grows, it may beneficial to extend the moss pole to allow the plant to grow upwards. Prune the plant as needed to manage its size and shape, removing any yellow or damaged leaves
- Fertilisation: Feed the Monstera Acuminata with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser every few months during the growing season (spring and summer).
