Description
The peace lily (Spathiphyllum) is a popular indoor plant known for its elegant and serene appearance. With its dark green leaves and striking white flowers, it adds a touch of beauty and tranquility to any space. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the peace lily is also recognised for its air-purifying qualities, making it a wonderful choice for enhancing indoor air quality.
Here are basic care instructions for a Peace Lily:
- Light: Place your Peace Lily in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. These plants can also tolerate low light but prefer bright indirect light, especially if you would like them to bloom again.
- Watering: Water when the leaves start to drop and the top soil is dry to the touch. Ensure you water it thoroughly so that all the soil is completely saturated. After a few hours after the watering, the leaves will perk right back up
- Fertilisation: Feed your Peace Lily with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser such as Biotrissol once a month during spring and summer.
