The Philodendron Scandens, commonly called the Heart-leaf Philodendron, is a popular and easy-to-care-for plant. It has glossy, dark green, heart-shaped leaves and can grow up to 3 meters long, but can be kept smaller by pruning. It prefers bright, indirect light and consistently moist soil, but not waterlogged. It also prefers moderate to high humidity levels, but can adapt to drier conditions. Regular fertilisation during the growing season is recommended, and pruning can help it grow fuller. The Philodendron Scandens is also an effective air purifier, making it an ideal choice for homes or offices.
