Product Description

The snake plant (Sansevieria Trifasciata Laurentii), also known as mother-in-law’s tongue, is a popular indoor plant celebrated for its striking, upright, sword-like leaves that often feature green and yellow variegation. Renowned for its resilience, it thrives in various light conditions, from low to bright indirect light, and requires minimal watering, making it ideal for busy individuals or those new to plant care.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the snake plant is recognised for its air-purifying qualities, effectively filtering indoor air pollutants. However, it’s important to note that while beneficial, the snake plant is toxic if ingested by pets or children, so placement should be considered accordingly

Care Instruction

Quick Care

  • Water every 4 weeks when the soil is completely dry.
  • Thoroughly saturate the soil when watering.
  • Allow excess water to drain away.
  • Bright, indirect natural light.
  • Tolerates low light conditions.
  • Avoid overwatering.

Snake Plants are extremely drought tolerant and store water in their leaves, allowing them to go long periods without watering. Water only when the soil is completely dry, which is typically around once every 4 weeks. These plants thrive on neglect, so it's always better to underwater than overwater.

When watering, thoroughly saturate the soil until excess water drains from the bottom of the nursery pot. Allow all excess water to drain away before placing the plant back into its decorative pot or basket.

Snake Plants thrive in bright, indirect natural light but are also very tolerant of lower light conditions, making them an excellent choice for almost any room. Avoid overwatering, as this is the most common cause of problems with Snake Plants.
